About Elder Intel

Most organizations get lost in the day-to-day and skip the harder work of truly understanding where they stand: their people, their structure, their customer base, the competitive landscape, the product itself.

I believe strategy only works when it acknowledges current state: understanding what's actually driving your employees, your customers, and your market; Being honest about what you can control directly versus only influence. With that grounding and a clear vision for the future, strategy becomes a matter of closing specific gaps rather than guessing at what might work.

The summer after completing an undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics, inspired by the book “Blue Highways,” I drove around the United States covering over 30 states hiking and volunteering in national parks along the way. This experience taught me the importance of a plan, the benefit of adapting day to day, while not losing sight of the objective. Skills critical to success in any environment.

I've always believed finance's role is to be an independent, trusted business partner and that conviction is why I started Elder Intel. Since earning my MBA, I'd wanted to build something of my own to help more organizations, more leaders, and more employees live up to their full potential. Bringing a strong background in research, economics, finance, data analytics, and business intelligence, I use these tools and techniques to help build trust and transparency throughout organizations. I love the experience of finding new actionable insights and seeing tangible improvements. When the opportunity came to do this on a broader scale I jumped on it. The timing was right for my family too.

Outside of work, I'm a father of three boys and enjoy all the adventures that brings including skiing, basketball, pickleball, and golf. Really, I enjoy any activity that brings my family together.
